Full Stack Engineer
We have a variety of challenges we're working through--most notably with data modeling. We’re taking a lot of semi-freeform data and applying structure to it and doing a lot of querying to the cloud bill. This will only get more complex as we expand functionality and provider support.
On the frontend, we’re visualizing a lot of complex data, so we definitely have fun design challenges to work with as we’re implementing all the visualization.

About You
- 5+ years software development experience
- 3+ years experience with Python, Ruby, or Node
- Some experience in a startup environment, or an ability to work well in a startup environment
- Past experience with cost management tools and/or cloud billing data, whether at a vendor or building them internally
- Experience with ClickHouse or other columnar data stores
- A lot of hustle, urgency, and grit--we are a small company trying to do big things, after all!
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation for this role is a salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 plus early stage equity options.
We provide a 401(k) and healthcare, vision, and dental with premiums fully covered by the company. Dependents are covered 50%.
We offer 4 weeks of PTO that accrue monthly, plus unlimited sick leave. We also close up shop for the last week of the year, giving everyone another week of paid time off.

We are a small and growing team (as of this writing, five people!), which means you get the opportunity to be on the ground floor of building the product and company. Our founders are the founders of The Duckbill Group, who bring their wealth of domain expertise and deep industry and customer connections in cloud cost management to the product. We're currently in a semi-stealth mode while we're focusing on building the initial product.
